I gained 1/5th of a pound, which I'm not too upset about. Consistency is key, and weight loss isn't magic, so I know my weight will keep coming down if I don't give up.

I bought some new exercise clothes (VS sports bra, capris with neon stripes, neon tank top). I find that exercise clothes are great motivation, even if you just wear them while doing home workouts.

I'm trying to pick a gym to join, since my university's gym is under construction. I'm deciding between Anytime Fitness and LA Fitness. Anytime Fitness is cheaper, slightly closer, has better reviews, and is open 24 hrs. However, it requires you to come in and take a tour (you can't just purchase a membership online).

Now at over 2,500 squats, even though I accidentally stepped on a nail and destroyed my left foot.

The new scale came! It measures every 2/5th pound, whereas my old scale only measured every half pound. It's really thin and beautiful. Now, I know my weight really came down to 158.4. I'm proud of myself. I've now reached over 1,900 squats, since I did 300 today.

I am more motivated than ever. I weighed myself this morning (multiple times to confirm the reality), and found that I lost a pound! A whole pound! I went out with my friends and bought a $15 Victoria's Secret sports bra, thanks to the semi-annual sale. 

Today is the fourteenth day of my squat challenge. I have completed over 1,600 squats since the start of the challenge (on two days, including this one, I did 200, and on some other days I did additional squats). I am planning to continue for 100 days, or until I move into my apartment and my roommates deem it weird.

Still waiting for my scale. My measurements haven't changed. I guess I'll talk a bit about the thinspo. Burning Man is an iconic example of self-expression and being who you truly are. In order to express myself fully, I need to be in a smaller body. It's a mental thing. My current state isn't who I am. It's who I am after surrendering to indulgences, my depression, and the like.

My scale is super broken. I put a 10-pound dumbbell on it to test and it said 11.5 pounds. I tried weighing myself multiple times without moving the scale, and I got many different measurements. Now it's just reading, "error." I can't wait until the new scale gets here. In the meantime I'm going to measure body parts (rounded).

I think I figured it out. When I moved my scale to different points on the floor, my weight changed. So, my current scale is probably faulty. I just bought this scale from Bed Bath & Beyond with a gift card one of my friends gave me for my birthday. We'll see if the new scale gives a more accurate or different result!

My friend and I have plans to get navel piercings in July, so I need to work!

I'm not seeing the numbers on the scale go down, which scares me quite a bit. I understand that the composition of my body might be changing for the better, but I want to lose weight too.

One of the reasons I posted this photo in particular is because I adore modern "boho" fashion. I love round sunglasses, palazzo pants, flower crowns, and the like. I want to look good in those things. I don't want wide-leg pants to be tight on me.

It's honestly frustrating to see the number on the scale not moving. I made three food mistakes today: eating three milano cookies, eating a large portion of spaghetti, and eating too many chips. For some reason I lack motivation today and my depression is at the forefront of my mind.

Weight gain didn't just impact my physical appearance. It also led to the depression I'm currently suffering from. I have horrible cramps and I loathe the way I look. Every day, I make excuses for my weight, but it's time to take some responsibility.

Some sad moments that led to the creation of this blog and this post: looking fat in jeans, looking fat in crop tops, looking fat in relation to everyone else (being the fattest girl in the room), not being able to wear half my dresses, developing depression, sucking in my stomach, reaching 160 pounds, getting called out by my doctor
